Four star Duke recruit Boogie Ellis has been released from his letter of intent. Of all the
offers he received, he chose Duke to proudly commit to. Later on, he regretted that very quickly
because of how many powerful and explosive athletes had already committed to Duke. He
originally committed to Duke back in November of 2018 and didn’t actually sign until later
that month during the signing period.

Boogie Ellis is a combo guard that is a 4-star recruit and the No. 34 overall player in the 2019
class. He came out of Mission Bay High School with a large amount of offers from plenty of
schools. Most likely, he changed his mind and decided that it was not the right school for him and
to look at the  other offers he received.

Duke shouldn’t be worried about losing Ellis because they still have the No. 1 class in the

country, including the  likings of, the big men Vernon Carey and Matthew Hurt, to help increase the rating
of the squad. Also, with signing of shooting guard Cassius Stanley, some people think that’s what
forced Ellis out of Duke.

Ellis has plenty offers on the table for him that are great, but it all comes down to what
Ellis thinks is the best school for himself.
